Perfect location in a quiet and spacious Piazza Santa Maria Novella. It is only 3 min walk to the center Duomo. Restaurants, grocery stores, and bars are all close by. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings. Bathrooms are all marble and water pressure is strong and great for daily showers. Breakfast room is gorgeous and breakfast is excellent. I love that the Coffee, espresso, cappuccino, and hot chocolate are all made to order. No machine!!!
We spent three nights at Hotel Santa Maria Novella, the hotel staff are very friendly and attentive, the room is impeccable and the cleanliness is perfect. Breakfast was rich and varied. Our overall experience was beyond expectations.
This hotel was in a great location within walking distance to train station & tons of shopping. The rooms are very spacious. The only odd thing was getting to our room required taking 3 elevators to multiple floors. Would definitely recommend this hotel!
Great hotel run by even better people. We had a couple issues pop up on our first night there and the resident manager had already begun plans to fix them and accommodate us before we even had to ask. A lot of other properties would have heard about the issues and just apologized, but the resident manager and other staff here went above and beyond to rectify the issues. Would stay here again and the location can’t be beat.
Loved this hotel! The location couldn’t have been better, the room was beautiful, and the staff was so helpful. We loved the complimentary bottle of Prosecco and breakfast was delicious.
This is a Jekyll and Hyde hotel. During the day, this is a charming hotel in a great location. Friendly staff, clean rooms, plenty of amenities. In the evening, Mr. Hyde comes out.
The hotel “bar” is actually a night club that opens every night around 6 and goes until 1 or 2 AM. If your room is on the same side of the hotel as the club, you will get to enjoy all the noise that comes with it.
One night we decided to actual go to our own hotel bar (night club) just to experience it. There was nothing but locals hooking up and or having date nights. At one point, a Lamborghini SUV pulls up and two guys get out with girls way too gorgeous to be with them. The obese guy that was driving comes in and immediately starts yelling about the fact that there were no more tables available outside. He then goes outside and starts yelling again. We don’t speak Italian, but it appeared that he was trying to tell people to leave so he could sit down. The staff brought him back inside, where we were, and he continued to cause a scene. Not sure if he ever got his table because we had had enough and left. This is not what we want from a hotel bar.
Bottom line is, if you like the late night or club scene, this could be the ideal spot for you. If you do not, like my wife and I, you may want to choose another hotel for your Florence vacation.
Excellent hotel in a great location. The rooms are charming and the overall hotel feels cozy and with a lot of attention to detail. The hotel is beautifully decorated and feels like a boutique hotel. Breakfast was great and very varied, with excellent attention. We only used the bar once and it's a bit pricey but the drinks were good. I'd greatly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Florence for tourism, it's location is unbeatable, within a 10-15 minutes walking distance from most tourist attractions in the city.
My family and I stayed here in early May 2023. The location of this hotel is fantastic and walking distance to so much. The options for food, drinks, are endless. The room itself was lovely, the staff were also very kind. The only complaint I had was the bathroom. There's no where to hang towels, no where to put your toiletries and the shower is so small you can barely move. There's no where to put your shampoo, shower gel, etc. You have to open the door to reach for things on the sink but then you make a huge puddle and wet everything trying to get things. They also would only put 1 toilet paper every day and we had to call to get them to bring more up. I also called for an iron and an ironing board 1 night and they told me they didn't have any and would bring one up in the morning but they never did. I had to call again, they brought the iron, but said they were all out of ironing boards again. Overall we had a good stay, but a few kinks they need to work out to get 5 stars.
